KRAUTKOSH23 - UPDATE #13 Flying Downwind

Hey,

Chris here from Military Aviation History with the thirteenth update from the trip to Oshkosh 2023 you crowdfunded. We are approaching the final stretch of the trip but hang tight, there is a big shoot coming right up!

A picturesque reminder of what an ejection seat does…

After yesterday’s shoot (short reminder: ITC for the P-63 Kingcobra, S-2F Stoof and P-51D), today was a calmer day. Much of the time was used to drive, which feels easy by now, and preparing for tomorrow. Indeed, a tight schedule awaits me - first I fly out in the morning to another city here in the US, then after landing it is basically a straight B-line towards where we film. It will be worth it! What is it you ask? Let’s just say it flew in WW2, has four engines, and more machine guns you can count one two hands.

P-40N of Fagen’s Fighters - all filmed and wrapped up!

That won’t be the end of the trip just yet (finger’s crossed - a final confirmation is pending on a shoot in two days) but certainly a show-stopping highlight. It has been an absolute pleasure working in the US so far and meeting so many enthusiastic and passionate people. Although I wasn’t entirely sure how many episodes of Inside the Cockpit alone I will be able to film here, the preliminary count is already beyond my wildest expectation!

The credit for making this project work belongs to you and the support you provide! Thank you!

Chris
